MERIDIAN, IDAHO:
Meridian
is the second-largest city in Ada County, Idaho, United
States and the third-largest in the state. As of the
2000 Census the population of Meridian was 34,919 (2006
estimate: 59,832)[1].
Having recently surpassed both Pocatello and Idaho
Falls, the most recent United States Census estimates
place Meridian as the third-largest city in Idaho behind
Boise and Nampa. As of June 2006 Meridian is the
fastest-growing city in Idaho, with a 14.5 percent
increase in population between 2004 and 2005. Local
planning agencies estimate the city's current population
to be in excess of 60,000.
